BSplit is a personal money app for splitting shared expenses with friends and keeping a private spending diary. It is built to work completely offline. We do not collect, receive, transmit, sell, or share any of your personal information. Everything you enter stays in a private database on your own device, where only you can reach it.

At a glance

No account. There is no sign-up, login, email, or phone number.
No data collection. BSplit does not gather personal data of any kind.
No servers. We operate no backend. Your data is never uploaded to us or anyone else.
No ads, no analytics, no trackers. The app contains no advertising, measurement, or tracking software, and does not access your Advertising ID / IDFA.
No permissions. BSplit requests no device permissions — not contacts, location, camera, storage, notifications, or even internet access in the released app.
You are in control. Because we never see your data, you manage it entirely from within the app or by uninstalling.

For the Google Play Data safety section and Apple App Privacy label, BSplit’s honest declaration is: No data collected No data shared

1.Who we are

BSplit (“BSplit”, “the app”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is a mobile application developed and published by Vexeron Technology Private Limited. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles information when you use it.

If you have any question, request, or complaint about this policy or your privacy, contact us at privacy@bsplit.in. We aim to respond within a reasonable time and within any period required by applicable law, including India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

2.Scope of this policy

This policy covers:

the BSplit mobile app for Android (package com.finance.bsplit) and iOS, distributed through Google Play, the Apple App Store, and any other official channel; and
this privacy policy page hosted at bsplit.in/privacy-policy.

This policy does not cover:

your device’s operating system, app store, or cloud-backup service (Google, Apple), which have their own privacy policies;
any separate app or service you choose to use alongside BSplit — for example, your bank or UPI app when you actually pay someone. BSplit only records notes about money; it never connects to any payment system.

3.How BSplit works: on-device only

BSplit is designed around a single principle: your financial notes are yours, and they should never have to leave your phone.

Everything you record — the people you split with, expenses, settlements, and your personal spending diary — is written to a private database stored in the app’s own sandboxed storage area on your device (a local SQLite database together with a small local settings store). Your app settings (display name, currency, theme) are kept the same way.

We do not run any server that receives this data. The released app contains no code to send it anywhere. As a result, we have no technical ability to view, copy, analyse, or recover your data, and neither does any third party.

4.Information we do not collect

To be explicit, BSplit does not collect, request, generate, or transmit any of the following:

Identity data — your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, photo, or government identifiers.
Account credentials — there is no account, so there is no password.
Contacts or address book. The names of people you split with are typed by you and are just text labels.
Location data of any kind (precise or approximate).
Device identifiers used for advertising or tracking — Google Advertising ID, Android App Set ID, Apple IDFA/IDFV, or similar.
Network identifiers such as your IP address or MAC address.
Usage or interaction analytics, event logs, heat maps, or session recordings.
Diagnostic, performance, or crash-report data sent off the device.
Financial account data — bank logins, card numbers, UPI IDs, or transaction feeds. BSplit never connects to a bank, card network, or payment app.
Photos, files, microphone, or camera input.
Cookies or web-tracking technologies inside the app.

5.Information you create and store on your device

When you use BSplit you enter information so the app can be useful to you. This information is stored only on your device and is never sent to us. You can view, edit, or delete all of it from within the app.

You decide what to type. If you prefer, you can use initials or made-up labels instead of real names, and leave notes blank. BSplit does not require any particular information to function.

6.Device permissions

BSplit is built to run without any special access to your device. The released Android app declares no permissions at all — including no INTERNET permission — and the iOS app requests no privacy-sensitive permissions (no camera, microphone, photos, contacts, location, local network, or App Tracking Transparency prompt).

If a future version ever needs a permission (for example, to let you attach a receipt photo), the app will ask you at the moment the feature is used, the permission will be optional, and this policy will be updated first.

7.No advertising, tracking, or Advertising ID

BSplit contains no advertising software. There are no banner, interstitial, native, or rewarded ads; no ad-network or mediation SDKs (such as Google AdMob or AppLovin); and no ad personalisation. The app does not read your device’s advertising identifier and does not perform or enable cross-app or cross-site tracking of any kind. Because nothing is tracked, iOS does not show an App Tracking Transparency permission request.

Note on bsplit.in/app-ads.txt: the developer’s website may publish an app-ads.txt file as standard industry housekeeping for the domain. That file has no effect while the app ships without advertising. If advertising is ever added to BSplit, it will be announced through an updated store listing and an updated version of this policy that describes exactly what data the ad system uses and how you can control it.

8.No analytics or crash reporting

BSplit includes no analytics, attribution, or crash-reporting services — for example, no Google Analytics / Firebase, no Crashlytics, and no third-party measurement or A/B-testing tools. We receive no reports about how many people use the app, which screens they open, or when the app crashes.

9.Network access

In normal use, the BSplit app makes no network connections. It does not call any web API, download content, or check in with any service. You can use the entire app in airplane mode.

Your operating system and app store may still perform their own network activity that is outside BSplit’s control — for example, delivering app updates, or running a platform-level security scan of installed apps. That activity is governed by Google’s or Apple’s privacy policies, not this one.

10.How your data can leave your device (only by your action)

Since BSplit never transmits your data, the only ways your BSplit information can move off your device are ones you initiate or enable yourself:

Operating-system backups. On Android, BSplit explicitly opts out of Google cloud backup and device-to-device transfer, so its database is not included in those. On iOS, if you have enabled iCloud Backup or an encrypted computer backup, your operating system may include the app’s local data in that backup. Such backups are created, encrypted, stored, and controlled by you and by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy — we have no access to them.
Manual export or sharing. If a future version adds an export feature (for example, CSV or JSON), any file you create and then send — by email, messaging, or cloud drive — travels under your control through the services you choose.
Screenshots and manual copying. Anything you screenshot or copy out of the app is then handled by you and the apps you paste it into.

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information, and we do not disclose it to advertisers, data brokers, analytics providers, or any other third party — because we never receive it in the first place.

There is no “sale” or “sharing” of personal information as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). BSplit performs neither.
We have no data to hand over in response to a legal request, subpoena, or government demand. Any lawful request for your on-device data would have to be directed to you.
If the app or its developer is ever involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, there is no user database to transfer; this policy would continue to apply to the app as distributed.

12.Data retention and deletion

Your information stays on your device for as long as you keep it there. You are always in full control:

Edit or delete individual items — remove a person, an expense, a settlement, or a diary entry from within the app.
Clear everything — use Account → Clear all data in the app to wipe both the shared ledger and the personal diary at once.
Uninstall the app — this removes the app’s database and settings from your device.

Because we never receive your data, there is nothing on our side to retain or delete, and no server copy to purge. Please also note that, since BSplit keeps no cloud backup of its own, data you delete (or lose when the app is uninstalled or the device is reset) cannot be recovered by us or by you. Keep your own backup of anything important.

13.Security

BSplit relies on the security model of your device’s operating system. Its data is held in app-private (“sandboxed”) storage that other apps cannot read, and is further protected by your device’s encryption when you set a screen lock (PIN, password, or biometric). Because nothing is transmitted, there is no data in transit to intercept and no server to breach.

No method of storage is perfectly secure. Data on a device that is unlocked, lost, shared, rooted, jailbroken, or infected with malware may be exposed. We recommend using a strong device lock and keeping your operating system up to date. Securing the device itself is your responsibility.

14.Children’s privacy

BSplit is a general-purpose budgeting tool intended for a general audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction), because the app collects no personal information at all. Any information entered on a device is controlled by the device’s owner or the supervising parent or guardian. If you believe a child has used the app, you can clear all data from within it at any time.

15.Your privacy rights

Privacy laws such as the EU / UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 give you rights over your personal data. With BSplit these rights are satisfied by design, because you hold all of the data yourself:

Withdraw consent / object to processing	We carry out no processing of your personal data, so no consent is relied upon.
Non-discrimination for exercising rights	The app behaves the same for everyone.

Under the GDPR, to the extent it applies, you are the controller of the personal data you enter on your own device for your own personal or household purposes; the developer does not act as a controller or processor of that data. Under India’s DPDP Act, the developer does not act as a Data Fiduciary in respect of any personal data, as none is collected or processed. You do not need to contact us to exercise the rights above — they are built into the app — but you are welcome to email us at privacy@bsplit.in with any question or complaint. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority (for example, the Data Protection Board of India, or your EU / UK supervisory authority).

16.International users and data transfers

BSplit does not transmit your data anywhere, so there is no cross-border transfer of personal data by the app or by us. Your information remains on your device in whichever country you use it. This policy is written to apply wherever you are located.

17.Third-party services and this website

The app embeds no third-party content, software development kits, advertising, analytics, social media components, or external links that transmit your information.

This website page (bsplit.in/privacy-policy) is a static page. Like any website, the hosting provider that serves it may automatically process limited technical request data (such as your IP address and browser user-agent) in server logs for security, abuse prevention, and reliable delivery. That processing is carried out by the hosting provider, is not combined with any app data, and is not used to identify or profile app users. The site sets no advertising or analytics cookies.

18.Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the app or to legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If a future version of BSplit introduces any collection, transmission, or sharing of personal data — for example optional accounts, cloud sync, analytics, or advertising — we will describe it clearly in an updated policy, update the app’s store listing (including the Data safety / App Privacy details), and, where the change is material, provide notice within the app before that version is released. Your continued use of the app after an update takes effect means you accept the revised policy.
